
From birth through elementary school, there is something for everyone in our children’s section! We have a wide selection of board books, picture books, easy readers, chapter books, nonfiction titles, middle grade books, and graphic novels! Stop by and check out a book and maybe stay to play! Our children’s section has a play kitchen, play grocery store, train set and more! Our toys are always available to be played with whenever we are open!

Summer Reading Program
Join us for our Summer Reading Kickoff on June 25th at 1pm and sign up for Summer Reading!
Stop by the library between June 25th and August 6th to fill out a sign-up form and get your Summer Reading calendar. You’ll use your calendar to keep track of the number of days you spend time reading.

Recurring Programs

Storytime
Wednesdays at 10am – Storytime: Join Miss Molly for weekly storytime. We’ll read a few books, sing a few songs, and end with a craft!

Imagination Builders
The third Tuesday of the month (during the school year) from 3-4:30pm – Imagination Builders: Come be creative and build whatever you can imagine with our LEGOs. Creations will be displayed around the library.

Pixel Players
The third Thursday of the month from 3-4:30pm – Pixel Players: Children can stop by after school for friendly competition with Mario Kart Worlds and Super Mario Party. Children play from 3-4:30pm and teens play from 4:30 to 6pm.
1000 Books Before Kindergarten
Read 1000 books with your child before they begin kindergarten, and we’ll celebrate with you along the way! Stop by the library to sign up and start keeping track of how many books you’ve read!
1000 Books Before Kindergarten is a national program that promotes reading to newborns, infants, and toddlers and encourages bonding between parents and their children through reading.
Read 1 book a day: finish in 2 years and 9 months!
Read 2 books a day: finish in 1 year and 4.5 months!
Read 3 books a day: finish in 11 months and 4 days!

Ladybug Picture Book Award
The Ladybug Picture Book Award is a New Hampshire award designed to promote early literacy. Every year, 10 picture book nominees are selected by NH librarians. New Hampshire children from preschool to third grade are then invited to read the nominees and vote on their favorite in November!

Great Stone Face Book Award
The Great Stone Face Book Award is given each year to a nominated book that receives the most votes from New Hampshire 4th-6th graders. A committee of NH librarians picks 20 new titles each year, which are then voted on by New Hampshire children and tweens. Voting takes place in April each year and the winner is announced in May! Current nominees are available at the library and on Libby.
